With beginnings in wooden boat building, Bambrella Ltd. was formed by the directors of the Woodstocks International group, which has been manufacturing garden furniture and parasols since 1996. With the experience and knowledge gained from both furniture and boat making, the company spent years researching and testing bamboo in hopes to find the perfect species for creating rich, natural look umbrellas that would last in all-weather environments throughout the world. The result was that Moso Bamboo, an import from China, was found to be the only bamboo which could be processed and treated for outdoor use and is Eco-friendly being 100% recyclable, sustainable, and renewable. This species of Bamboo has strand structure similar to fine grained hard woods like natural teak, and in turn Bambrella continues to utilize it in conjunction with its high end lamination process and oil finish that insures the Bamboo remains rich in color season after season.
Bambrella products are made in their own factories, allowing company overseers to be able to strictly monitor quality and insure that the best umbrellas are consistently produced, and being a certificate holder in the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Bambrella can also insure that their products are environmentally beneficial and eco-conscious. These umbrellas are designed for use in both commercial and domestic application and adhere to the company's three key points of design- durability, strength, and style.
Bamboo furniture of this caliber is a revolutionary new concept for the outdoor leisure industry, and Bambrella offers 5 year residential and 3 year contract guarantees on all frames and hardware. Their umbrellas range from the budget line, Sirocco to the high end premium Levante, as well as the unique Sidewind Collection which boasts a larger size and title and rotation function. Bambrella also makes pavilions for luxury outdoor entertaining and all canopies are available in a variety of Spuncrylic fabric color options.
